Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Deep Conditioning.

A typical in-salon Deep Conditioning session lasts 30–60 minutes depending on hair length, porosity, and damage level. Shorter sessions suit light hydration; intensive treatments include heat or leave-in processing to maximize absorption for severely damaged hair.

Deep Conditioning significantly improves moisture, strength, and appearance, but cannot fully reverse severe structural loss. Repeated treatments, professional bond builders, and at-home care are needed to progressively restore integrity and reduce long-term damage.

For most clients, every two to four weeks is ideal depending on hair condition and styling habits. Extremely damaged or chemically treated hair may benefit from weekly sessions until strength and moisture balance improves.

When applied and rinsed properly, Deep Conditioning should leave hair soft, lightweight, and nourished—not greasy. We tailor product strength and processing time to your hair type to avoid residue or heaviness after treatment.

Wait 48 to 72 hours before coloring or chemical services so conditioning ingredients settle and cuticles stabilize. If hair is very damaged, your stylist may recommend bond-repair or strengthening protocols before additional chemical treatments.

Use sulfate-free shampoo, hydrating conditioner, and a weekly leave-in or oil treatment to maintain results. Limit heat styling, use heat protectant, and schedule follow-up salon conditioning to preserve moisture and strength.
